Professor Anne Chick is Director of the Sustainable Design Research Centre at Kingston University (www.kingston.ac.uk/design/SDRC), Professor in the Faculty of Environmental Design at the University of Calgary, Canada, an Associate Editor on the Design Journal and a Design Studies journal referee. She was voted one of the top ten influential professionals in the area of sustainable design by Design Week magazine in 2009.

During the past five years Anne has raised over £1.5m for research and knowledge transfer projects and her internationally acknowledged sustainable design research, knowledge transfer and educational work have been acknowledged in a number of eminent reports and publications.

Anne is also a co-founder of Greenengaged (www.greengaged.com), a movement which aims to unite all sectors of the design industry to focus on sustainability issues, exchange ideas and carve out new roles for design.
